Every quality surf destination around the world has locals who struggle with visiting surfers. Raglan is no different, and it's important to us at Solscape that the visiting surfers we host understand and abide by local rules and etiquette.

The Breaks
Ngarunui Beach

Manu Bay
Advanced–ExpertA rocky point break famous for its long peeling left. A local break — please abide by the surfing etiquette and respect the community. You must be at advanced-intermediate or expert level with full control of your board at all times.
Whale Bay
Advanced · LocalsOne of Raglan's three connected point breaks — a long, mellow left that links toward Manu Bay. A local favourite that draws a crowd, so know the lineup and surf with respect.
Indicators (Indies)
Expert · LocalsThe top of Raglan's celebrated point system — a long, fast left that "indicates" the incoming swell. A serious, advanced wave; know your ability and respect those who surf here.
Outsides
Expert · LocalsSitting along the point below Indicators, Outsides links into one of the longest left-hand rides in the world. For experienced surfers only, with respect for the local lineup.
